Barbara Slaughter
has taught 9th grade Honors English for the past 25 years at Lewis & Clark
High School in Spokane, WA. Barb is currently teaching Honors classes and is serving part time as a
professional development coordinator for Lewis and Clark high school;
consequently she am well trained in the latest strategies and theories of instruction outside of College Board* as well as those from
within. She was chosen as a Spokane Public Schools
Distinguished Teacher and has participated in a highly successful Vertical Team
program in her high school for twelve years. In addition, she has trained at an
English Vertical Teams workshop sponsored by the College Board and has
conducted workshops in California and Washington for the past fifteen years.
