Trip Details You will leave on Friday morning, July 11, and travel in style on a fully equipped deluxe coach bus. Once you arrive in Ashland, hotel accommodations will again be at the Plaza Inn Suites at Ashland Creek. This hotel is in the heart of downtown Ashland and features many room amenities, a fitness center and hospitality with complimentary continental breakfast, late afternoon snack, and evening cookies and milk. The trip will also include one group “special event” meal, with a presentation by an Oregon Shakespeare Festival dramaturge (a literary advisor for a theatre, who works with playwrights, selects and edits scripts, etc). In addition, Jeff Clapp Associate Professor of Theatre and Artistic Director at PLU will be the “scholar in residence” for the trip. He is a 1990 graduate of Pacific Lutheran University and earned his MFA from Mankato State University in 1999.
Performances Experience the magic of four plays: A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Our Town, along with the opportunity to choose from: Coriolanus or The Comedy of Errors and Othello or The Clay Cart. Registration: REGISTER ONLINE The cost of this trip is $750 per person for double occupancy ($1025 single occupancy). This price includes transportation to and from PLU, three nights lodging, four theatre performances, a backstage tour and lectures, as well as a special brunch with the whole group.
