Alumni Mentorship FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

I have not been matched with a student mentee. What do I do?
Be patient! The Alumni Mentoring Program allows students to select their own mentor by viewing the biography forms submitted by mentors. Students make their selections year ‘round and new participants join the program every week.

I was not matched, but another alum has two mentees– what happened?
Student participants select their own mentor; the Alumni Mentoring Program staff do not assign mentors to students. If you have not been matched, don’t despair! Students make their selection year round. Also, because of their career field, some mentors are much more popular than others. You can also review and revise your biography. Be sure that you complete all the requested information, including hobbies and activities. This is the only chance that students can find out about you, so the more information you provide, the better.

My mentee is not returning my phone calls / email.
Please contact the Alumni Mentoring Program staff, and we will assist you in contacting your mentee. We can also re-open your biography for other students to view and select you as their mentor.

I’m not getting any announcements from the Alumni Mentoring Program.
Drop us an email or phone us with your updated address, phone and email information. Information will be updated into the database within 24 hours of receipt.
