Hatch Earns NCAA Provisional

SALEM, Ore. – Karen
Hatch of Pacific Lutheran won the javelin
throw at the Willamette Last Chance meet Thursday
night with a NCAA Divisions III provisional mark
of 128-9. Hatch’s toss makes her the third
PLU athlete to hit a provisional mark this season.

PLU Takes
Fifth in All-Sports Standings
May 6, 2008
Whitworth took the Northwest Conference's 2008
McIlroy-Lewis All-Sports trophy with a final tally
of 253 points. Pacific Lutheran's 184 points earned
fifth place, the fifth time in the past six years
that PLU has finished in fifth after winning the
award in 15 of the first 17 seasons since it was
initially awarded in 1986.

Five Lutes Named to 2008 All-NWC Teams

Seven Pacific Lutheran softball players were listed
when the Northwest Conference named the all-conference
teams on Monday. Two Lutes earned first team honors,
three were listed on the second team, and two more
earned honorable mention.
