Packard Continues Hot Streak, Finishes
Second at Willamette Invitational
Results
SALEM, Ore. – Chris Packard continued to play good golf for
the Pacific Lutheran men’s team as the senior from Gig Harbor
placed second at the Willamette Invitational held Monday at Creekside
Country Club.
Packard, who opened the spring season in early March by earning
medalist honors at the UPS Invitational, shot rounds of 74 and 76
for a 36-hole total of 150. Northwest Christian’s Justin Ahrens
won medalist honors, scoring 72 and 74 for a 146.
Rounding out the PLU individual scores were Jason Casey with a
160, Barrett Stamps 170, Kyle Spitzer 171, Adam Story 173 and Cody
Navarro 182.
Pacific Lutheran finished sixth in the 10-team event. The Lutes
had rounds of 326 and 321 for a total of 647. Northwest Nazarene
won the invitational with a 318-313 – 631.
The Lutes return to action on March 29-30 when they compete in
the NWC Spring Classic at Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks, Ore.
