Lutes in Sixth After First Day of NWC Women's
Championship

SISTERS, Ore. - Pacific Lutheran is in sixth place after the first
18 holes of the 2008 Northwest Conference Women's Golf Championship
being held at Aspen Lakes Golf Course.
Mallory Mueller carded an 88, including a pair of birdies, for
the Lutes' best score on the par-72 layout. She currently is in
a three-way tie for 12th place. Rounding out the PLU scores were
Angela Grossklaus at 90, Kindra Stamps at 101 and Lauren Emmerson
at 115.
Pacific leads the team race after shooting a 343, followed by Whitworth
at 350, George Fox at 354, Puget Sound at 358 and Linfield at 363.
Despite having the first-day leader in Whitney Ueno, Willamette
carded 397 and trails PLU by three strokes.
Ueno shot a 7-over-par 79 and is two strokes ahead of Pacific's
Tami Pak.
