PLU’s Chris Packard Leads at Halfway
Point of Men’s Fall Classic

SPOKANE, Wash. – Pacific Lutheran senior Chris Packard fired
a three-under-par 69 on Sunday to lead after the first day of the
Northwest Conference Men’s Golf Fall Classic at Spokane Country
Club.
Packard scored a 35 on the first nine to reach one under, then
shot a 34 on the back nine for his 69, four strokes better than
the 73 carded by second-place Ben Wright from Pacific. Packard’s
teammate, Adam Story, was one of eight golfers tied for third place
at 75 after shooting 38-37.
Linfield leads the team competition at the halfway point with a
300, followed by Pacific at 303 and PLU at 305. Rounding out the
team scores are Whitworth at 311, Puget Sound at 316, Willamette
at 328, Lewis & Clark at 346, Whitman at 353 and George Fox
at 357.
The tournament will conclude on Monday with tee times scheduled
for a 9 a.m. start.
