Johnson, Buckingham Receive NWC All-Star Accord

Nikki Johnson, a senior wing from Tenino, and Trish Buckingham, a junior wing from Port Angeles, have received All-Northwest Conference women's basketball honors as selected by the conference coaches.

Johnson was selected to the all-conference first team, while Buckingham was an honorable mention choice.

Last year's NWC Player of the Year, Johnson finished second among NWC players in scoring (13.8 points per game) and rebounding (8.2) in conference-only games. She also led the conference with 2.13 steals per game.

For the season, Johnson led the Lutes in scoring (15.2 points per game) and in rebounding (8.7).

Buckingham finished 29th in the conference in scoring (7.3 points per game) in the Lutes' 16 conference contests, and she was the team's leading scorer in four of those games. For the season, she finished third on the team in scoring (7.1 points per game).
