International

At PLU, along with many other universities, there are international programs, clubs, and organizations that have on campus as well as off campus learning structure.  There are a diverse number of students who live on campus that are from all different countries around the world.  I had a change to make friends with people from Korea, China, Sweden, Norway, and many other countries to where the list can go on.  Also with several businesses going international around the world,  it is important to understand about global and international practices that are becoming more common in todays global market. 

Understanding in different ways

I was able to learn about different cultures from meeting people from all over the world and experiencing it by traveling.  Many businesses are becoming more global and international.  It helps in many ways to benefit in lowering the operating costs and doing trades and so forth.  In the School of Business international views are extremely important and emphasized to their students.

Not only was I able to have experience by traveling but learned at PLU from taking courses about foreign trades and many current events that are going on as of today.  One of the classes I took was International Finance. Now I am able to have a better per spectrum on how to look at the business nature from an international view point and gain a understanding in different cultures in order to expand a business.
