Frame Joins School of Business as Interim Dean

William FrameWilliam Frame, PLU’s former vice president for finance and operations, will return to the university as the interim dean for the School of Business. He will begin at PLU on Sept. 1.

Frame brings a wealth of experience in the academic and corporate world to the position. He is a former professor and chair of the political science department at Kenyon College. He also worked in corporate banking, and served as vice president and corporate treasurer of the Tonka Corporation.

He worked at PLU from 1993 to 1997, before becoming the president of Augsburg College in Minneapolis. He retired from that position in 2006.

As interim dean, Frame will work with an associate dean team in the School of Business to continue initiatives underway. Additionally, he will work closely with the executive advisory board for the school on external relations and head the search for a permanent dean.

School of Business Welcomes Dr. Sven Tuzovic


Marketing professor Dr. Sven Tuzovic will join the PLU School of Business faculty this fall. Tuzovic comes to PLU from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky where he taught marketing and management courses. He received his doctoral degree in marketing from the University of Basel, Switzerland. This fall, Professor Tuzovic will be teaching Principles of Marketing and Services Marketing courses.

McNabb Receives Fulbright Grant


Congratulations to Dr. Dave McNabb! He was notified on May 22nd that he was selected for a Fulbright Senior Specialists grant in Business Administration at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, Latvia.

Merl Simpson and Quoc Pham’s co-authored paper entitled, "Airline Strategic Alliances Benefits: Perspectives from Trans-Atlantic Passengers" was published in the Academy of Taiwan Business Management Review, Volume 3, Number 1, April 2007.
