School of Business Clubs & Organizations
The School of Business is home of some of the most active and
dynamic student clubs and organizations. Opportunities are
available for those who are majoring, minoring or those interested in
entering the School of Business.
Student Clubs & Organizations
- American Marketing Association (AMA): Sponsored by
the Puget Sound Chapter of the National American Marketing
Association. AMA encourages students to uphold sound, honest
marketing practices, engages in professional practice, improves
marketing research, and develops and promotes better understanding
between students, faculty and business people. Open to students

- Beta Alpha Psi, Delta Rho Chapter: The national
scholastic and professional accounting fraternity which promotes the
study and practice of accounting, provides opportunities for self
development and association among member, and encourages ethical,
social, and public responsibilities. Open to declared accounting,
finance, and information management students who have taken upper

- Beta Gamma Sigma, Delta of Washington Chapter:
National Scholastic Honor, where membership is by induction for
business students with a cumulative GPA in the top 7% of Juniors, 10%
of seniors, or 20% of graduate students at PLU. Advisor: Gerry Myers
- International Business Club (IBC): IBC's purpose is
to introduce students to current business practices and issues, to
develop the knowledge, attitudes, and personal qualities valued by
employers, to encourage ethical, social and public responsibility, and
to establish ongoing communications and understanding between
businesses and students. Student of all disciplines are welcome

- PLU Business Network (Alumni organization):
The PLU Business Network provides meaningful events and services to alumni as well
as mentorship and an annual scholarship for current business
students. This organization is a professional organization and

- Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM): SHRM
is sponsored by the Northwest Human Resource Management
Association. The Human Connection, PLU's Charter SHRM, is open to
all students whose purpose is to develop, improve, and apply successful
human resource management skills in today's marketplace. Opportunities

- Society for Information Management (SIM): SIM
is the first student chapter in the world of the International Society
for Information Management. ePLU was founded in the summer of
2000 and serves as an Internet economy bridge between faculty,
students, alumni and companies in the Pacific Northwest region.
Open to all business, computer science and engineering students. Advisor: Chung-Shing Lee
- Student Investment Fund: The Mary Lund-Davis
Investment Fund was established in 1982. The fund's objective is
to provide real-world investment experience for members. Board
members must be enrolled in or have completed Managerial Finance or
Micro-Economics. Advisor: Bruce Finnie
- Young Entrepreneurs (YE): YE promotes awareness and
understanding of creating or managing a new business. Membership
is open to all university students. Advisor: Dave McNabb
