Brief Biography

Dr. Williams has been a member of the PLU faculty since 1985.  His work interests are in the areas of assessment and evaluation and programming for students with emotional/behavioral disorders.  Dr. Williams has published articles on working effectively with E/BD students, and has developed a social/behavioral curriculum for use in classrooms that serve these students that has been adopted in six school districts in the State of Washington.

He is also active in presenting at numerous conferences both regionally and nationally, and consults with a number of regional LEAs on program development in special education.  Dr. Williams is currently project director for a State of Washington grant for the development of positive behavior support (PBS) systems in a number of local schools.
