The first place to search, this comprehensive index covers over 3,100 scholarly journals and general
periodicals in all subject and interdisciplinary areas, including the arts and humanities. Coverage prior to 1990 is sparse. Some full text for 1,000 publications.

Lexis-Nexis  Academic Universe (via PLU Library Home Page)
Provides access to a range of news, business, legal, and reference information. It is particularly strong in its

A dictionary catalog with authors of articles, proper names, and subjects interfiled in one alphabetical list.  Includes information about reviews, discographies, festivals, instruments, etc.

A family of databases that includes many full-text sources

RILM Abstracts of Music Literature 1969-  (Index area ref.ML118.R4 and via Library Home page)
Indexes journals, books, and dissertations.  Arranged in a classification system similar to library classification systems.

Worldwide online catalog of books and other materials available in OCLC member libraries.
 
 
LOCATING PERIODICALS/JOURNALS:  Use Journals at PLU to obtain the call number of the journal you need.  Current issues of journals are shelved on the first floor.  Older issues (bound volumes and microfilm) are on the second and third floors, shelved with the books. Journals at PLU  also identifies any full-text journals we have online.
