for the major, as well as Study Abroad Opportunities available to
Global Studies students. Also feel free to browse the Links page,
which allows students to explore their interests in global issues

are some classes not listed in the course cataloge that will count
towards a Global Studies concentration that are offered during the Fall
of 2007:
- ANTH 352 Anthropology of Age will count for the World Health concentration
- HIST 220 Modern Latin America will count for the Development and Social
Justice concentration and for the Responses to International Violence and Conflict concentration
- POLS 401 The Iraq War will count for the Responses to International Violence
and Conflict concentration
- REL 236 Native American Religious Traditions will count for
the Transnationalism and Cultural Diversity
concentration
- REL 393 Topics in Comparative Religion, with the topic "Native Traditions in
the Pacific Northwest (the section taught by Suzanne Crawford) will count
for the Transnationalism and Cultural Diversity concentration
Update on ANTH/POLS 210:
Anthropology and Political Science 210:
The course Anth/Pol 210 Global Perspectives is a required course for
the Global Studies major and minor. Currently it is not scheduled again
to be taught until Spring 2008 due to professor sabbaticals. Notice

the professors listed above can advise students about the requirements
for the Global Studies major and minor, including course selection and
what J-term courses can count toward the major. They all can also
complete Junior Reviews. Please contact professors in advance for a
junior review appointment. Contact information is listed in the
Advising Information section of the website. Questions about whether
specific courses taken on semester study abroad programs will count
toward the Global Studies major or minor should be directed to the
Global Studies Chair.
