Responsibilities
- A combination of teaching and administrative responsibilities equivalent to eight four-credit courses.
- Teach solely couple and family therapy graduate courses.
- Clinical supervision of students.
- Advise graduate students.
- Share in all aspects of the administration of the program.
- Direct the on-campus community clinic, or direct the clinical training of students.
- Participate in university governance and committees.
- Pursue scholarship.
Description of the Program
The MFT Program at Pacific
Lutheran University
is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family
Therapy Education of the AAMFT. The program consists of two full-time faculty,
one half time faculty member, five adjunct faculty supervisors, and a diverse
student body of approximately 40 students.
The program’s commitment to multiculturalism, both locally and globally,
is infused throughout the curriculum.

Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in MFT (preferred) or its equivalent.
- Experience in the field teaching, supervising, and practicing.
- American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Approved Supervisor preferred.
