Responsibilities
- The successful candidate should be qualified to teach theory (classical and contemporary), social stratification, and introduction to sociology. Additional courses should broaden and complement existing departmental course offerings.
- Opportunities also exist for faculty to participate in courses in the first-year experience program, women’s and gender studies, global education, or other interdisciplinary programs.
- Commitment to effective teaching at the undergraduate level is required.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in sociology preferred, although applications from ABD candidates will be considered.
