Assistant Professor, full-time, tenure track position; salary commensurate with qualifications and experience + benefits package.

Responsibilities
  1. The successful candidate will have primary academic responsibilities in instructing Teaching Methods courses, supervising student teachers, and advising student majors and/or minors.
  2. Other responsibilities will include teaching activity courses and other major and minor courses and teaching in the First Year Experience Program.
  3. Candidates must also demonstrate a record of scholarly achievements and service activities.

Qualifications
  • Candidates must have a doctoral degree, at time of appointment, with a primary emphasis in Physical Education Teacher Education (Pedagogy).
  • Committed to excellence in teaching, complement existing faculty strengths, and collaborate with other School and University faculty as appropriate.
  • Philosophical understanding of the integrated nature of Health, Movement Studies, Physical Education, Exercise Science, and Recreation.
  • Prepared to teach students from all majors in the department and be committed to an integration of the liberal arts and professional education.
