General Description

This job focuses on writing and publishing a weekly campus e-news letter for students and staff. Not only will the content development specialist report the stories and create multi-media experiences, but will work with PLU’s photographer to find the best pictures for each piece. Will also write stories for PLU’s two magazines, Scene and U, and the university’s e-library. Reports to the Director of Content Development.

Required Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or related field preferred.
  2. Three years experience in writing for publication or web. Related education can substitute for some experience.
  3. College journalism experience preferred.
  4. Web content management experience preferred.
  5. Finalist candidates must satisfactorily complete pre-employment background checks.
