The following standards have been adopted to
provide an environment that is conducive to study and research.

Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
•
Secondary school students (12 and older) must sign in at the
circulation desk and present school
identification.

Eating
is prohibited in the Library except in designated areas. Drinking beverages is allowed only from
covered, spill-proof containers. Smoking
is prohibited by
Cell
phone use is prohibited within the library.
PLU
students have first priority to the use of computers and online resources.
The
removal of library materials without adhering to appropriate check-out
procedures, or the untimely retention of library materials is considered
theft. Library materials are protected
by University policy, as well as by
Mutilation
or damage (defacing, removing parts, markings, etc.) of library materials is
prohibited.
OFFENSIVE MATERIALS IN SHARED SPACES
The
library is a public place and the viewing or printing of sexually or violently
explicit material may create a hostile working or learning environment, which
violates University policies. In keeping
with the PLU Computer Use Policy, we expect users to be sensitive to this
matter. The viewing or printing of sexually or violently explicit materials may
be grounds for immediate expulsion from this library facility.
Violations of any of these policies are subject to
referral to the appropriate University offices.
The University reserves the right to limit access to the campus and its
resources.
