All music concerts are held in Lagerquist Concert Hall, Mary Baker Russell Music Center at 8:00 pm unless otherwise noted. Artist Series: Composers of
the Great American Songbook
David Joyner, pianist and Director of Jazz Studies at PLU, hosts the annual Valentine's Day concert event, "Composers of the Great American Songbook". Joined by PLU jazz faculty and special guest artists, Dr. Joyner will feature the music of two songwriters each year, familiar writers such as Cole Porter and George Gerswhin, and less famous but no less notable songwriters such as Ray Noble and Johnny Mandel. Join David Joyner and friends for the evening of romantic, swinging, and timeless songs from the Golden Age of the American popular song.
