» Your Money at Work
Each yearly $30 membership fee supports gifts of equipment and supplies for the PLU School of Nursing as well a for activities for the PLU nursing community at large. In 2005, over 80% of membership fees (about $24 per member) went to School of Nursing donations.

PLU Nursing Legacy Wall A pictorial history is important. For alumni it reminds us where we’ve been, who was there during our journey, and what those old nursing uniforms really looked like. Nursing students use pictures as motivation (If they can make it, so can I!), and inspiration (At least we don’t have to wear those funny caps!). The Nursing Alumni is working with the School of Nursing in creating a Legacy Wall to display class year photographs and pictures of other noteworthy events. We need your donations to ensure all classes are represented on the wall. With about 100 graduating classes (2 per year) and a $100 per picture display cost (this includes enlargement, matting, framing, and engraving), we must raise nearly $10,000 to complete this project! Please consider donating $100 so your graduating nursing class can be displayed. Smaller donations will also help to preserve our pictorial history for the enjoyment and education of future generations.	Phase I of the Legacy Wall started in early 2005 with a fresh coat of paint on the second floor hallway of Ramstad Building, where many nursing classes are held.

Nursing Reunion Do you want to meet up with nursing class friends, find out about nursing faculty members, or get a look at the PLU campus and School of Nursing? If you answered yes, then the PLU Nursing Reunion is the place to be. This event will be hosted by the Nursing Alumni and held at PLU in the last weeks of April. Stay tuned for the exact date. Activities we hope to bring you include: lunch with nursing faculty, campus tours, a student/alumni interchange, and an exciting speaker or two! Contact the PLU Alumni Association for information on other events, including homecoming and local reunions, or send a 'class note' to be posted in the Scene!	Class of '79 December 2004 Graduates

Nursing Alumni Accomplishments

2004	- Completed memory albums capturing the history of the School of Nursing through 1999.
2003	- Helped fund SoN Learning & Resource Center lab update and sponsored the first PLU Nurses Week Faculty Appreciation Lunch
2002	- Updated School of Nursing conference room.
1995	- Dedication Program for renovated Wellness Center
1992	- First Distinguished Nurse Alumnus honored at Nursing Alumni brunch.
1991	- First annual Nursing Alumni brunch held on Homecoming weekend. - Official formation of the School of Nursing Alumni organization.
