The Chihuly Roses
Artist: Dale Chihuly

George Lagerquist commissioned world-renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly to create a work that would celebrate PLU's central icon, the Eastvold Chapel Rose Window. Chihuly produced four huge, nine-piece glass "roses," each addressing a different theological symbol:

God the Creator (green)
Father, Son and Holy Spirit (blue)
The Luther Rose (white)
Jesus the Christ (red)

They hang in the east windows of the Mary Baker Russell Music Center.
