Commencement is approaching and if you are the parent of a prospective
May 2007 graduate, here is some important information to help you and
your student prepare for the big event!
Grad Fair takes place on the following days and times in the University Center in front of the Bookstore:
Tuesday, March 13 from 10:00am - 4:00pm
Wednesday, March 14 from 10:00am - 6:30pm
Grad Fair is something no graduating student should miss so please remind your senior to attend this important fair on campus. Every spring this opportunity is one-stop-shopping for everything your student needs to prepare for May commencement.
At
Grad Fair, students can purchase their cap/gown (a requirement to
participate in the ceremony), order graduation announcements, diploma
frames, class rings, ceremony DVDs and receive additional information
about becoming a PLU alumni.
Parents and graduates should keep an eye out for a couple of mailings over the next few months-- including a program of events for the graduation weekend (May 25-27).
Graduation is set for May 27, 2007 at the Tacoma Dome with the ceremony beginning at 2:30p.m.; doors open at 1:00p.m. and no tickets are required for admission.
The registrar’s office (253-535-7131) coordinates graduation and can answer general questions about the graduation ceremony. The PLU web-site also lists helpful information about graduation.
