For the academic year 2008-2009, medical health insurance is required for all domestic full-time undergraduate students, and all full-time and part-time international students. While your student has received all of the following information regarding health insurance options, with finals looming, it is likely they haven’t thought to discuss the matter with you yet. In the interest of keeping you aware and up to-date, here are some resources to aid you in helping your student through this decision.
Students will be automatically enrolled in and billed for the PLU Student Health Insurance Plan if they do not waive-out. The waiver period has begun. We have encouraged your student to make the decision about the PLU Student Health Insurance Plan before the end of the semester.
Deadline date to waive-out is no later than the 10th day of Fall 2008 classes, which is September 19, 2008 at midnight.
Print the confirmation email for your records. Should future questions arise, the print-out of this confirmation email is the only documentation PLU will accept that shows you completed the waive-out process.
No waivers will be accepted after September 19, 2008 midnight. There are no exceptions.
