Residential Life Housing Information
     
End of Semester Opening and Closing Dates & Holiday Housing

Winter Break ~ Friday, December 14th - Wednesday, January 2nd
The traditional halls (all halls but South Hall) will close @ 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 14th and reopen @ 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2nd. 
South Hall will remain open for the Winter Break at no additional cost to current South Hall residents remaining in South Hall for J-Term and/or Spring semester.

Students needing to stay on campus during the Winter Break, can do so. Holiday Housing is available at a $15.00 per day charge in a designated hall.  Prior sign-up is required. Students can sign-up beginning November 14th at The Housing Sign-Up and Cancellation Process.  The deadline to sign-up is Friday, December 7th. Students who apply for Holiday Housing will receive confirmation on December 11th. Campus Safety Officers working over break, do not need to sign-up for housing.

Students needing to stay until Saturday, December 15th due to December Commencement, can do so in the Office of Residential Life beginning Wednesday, November 14th.


J-Term / Spring Housing Information (cancel, changes, etc.)

Students wishing to apply to change their living arrangements for J-Term and Spring Semester 2008 should come to the Housing Sign-Up and Cancellation Process. This includes students who want to apply to live in a different hall, apply for a single room, apply to live on-campus, or cancel their housing. Students who do not wish to change housing arrangements, do not need to come.

November 14th ~ 5:00 - 10:00 p.m.
November 15th ~ 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.
November 16th ~ 7:30 - 8:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Students wishing to cancel their housing should do so before December 1, 2007 in order to avoid the Housing Cancellation Penalty. These cancellations must be submitted in writing and canceling housing will also cancels one's meal plan.

Students need to cancel their housing if:
· They are graduating and not living-on campus for J-Term and/or Spring
· They are going on a Study Away trip (belongings can remain room for J-Term trips).

Below is the cancellation penalty schedule

Cancellations received:
** Prior to December 1st ... No Cancellation Penalty
** December 1st - January 1st ... $200 Cancellation Penalty
** After January 1st ... $400 Cancellation Penalty
