As a reminder of the University’s Nordic Roots, the Scandinavian Prow is displayed in front of the Scandinavian Cultural Center. The Prow is 25 feet tall and weighs 2,200 pounds. The Viking Ship Prow came from the home of its designer and builder, Paul Schweiss, in Anacortes, Washington during the Spring of 1992.
