Commencement weekend is right around the corner and we hope that all your plans to attend are well underway. Graduation is a joyous time for all the family and friends that come and support our graduating seniors. Here is a few things you might find helpful with your planning.
The date and time for commencement is Sunday, May 27, 2007 at 2:30pm. There are many traditions and associated events all over campus during the week leading up to graduation exercises. There is the toweling service at University Congregation, the School of Nursing Pinning Ceremony and the School of the Arts graduation reception to name just a few. For a complete list of all the events around the main ceremony at the Tacoma Dome you can visit the registrar's graduation website for the most current dates and times. The registrar's website also has all the details around parking, getting to and from campus and where to meet and greet your party at the Tacoma Dome on Sunday.
Cap & Gown Distribution happens every commencement at the Nesvig Alumni Center. It is a great opportunity for us to meet our most recent class and introduce them to all our Alumni office has to offer them as they prepare to stay connected after graduating.
There will probably be a meal or two to plan for while you visit so be sure to check our current list of recommended restaurants around town. There is also a list of lodging options should you need to plan that as well.
