Health services | Parents HandbookHealth care away from home includes treatment for illness and injuries and physical exams. We do travel counseling and immunizations, also. The Health Center is staffed five days a week by two physician assistants. Our physician is available weekly for appointments and phone consultation. All students may use our services. For after hours and weekend concerns, students should speak with their resident assistant or resident director. Finally, we contract for after hours nursing advice through MultiCare Consulting Nurse Services, 253.403.7778. All students must complete and submit the Health History form. Health information and documented immunizations are required before a student registers for classes. This form was sent with the admission paperwork, additional copies may be downloaded from www.plu.edu/~health/. Health insuranceStarting Fall 2007, medical health insurance is required for all domestic full-time undergraduate and all full-time and part-time international students. Students will be automatically enrolled in and billed for the PLU Student Health Insurance Plan if they do not waive-out of the insurance plan during registration periods. The plan provides important coverage for office visits, prescriptions, emergency treatment and hospitalization. Back to HANDBOOK Home Page » For more information (listed alpha)...
