Stafford Loan Repayment

ClockTower

Student Loans:
Mapping future repayment

If your student is a borrower of Federal Stafford loans, the completion of your student’s academic studies and departure from Pacific Lutheran University means the beginning of payments on their student loan. To help prepare them for this responsibility, the guarantor of their student loan (U.S. Department of Education) requires that they complete exit counseling upon leaving the school.

We have provided two options for them to complete the exit counseling requirement.

First, there is an online counseling process available at www.mapping-your-future.org.

If they do not have access to a computer, they may request a printed version of the information be mailed to them. If they chose the printed option, they must complete the Exit Counseling checklist in the back of the packet and return it to Student Services Center.

If your student has any questions regarding their Stafford loans, or wish to learn more about the options available for repayment, please contact our office or visit the walk-in counselor in the Student Services Center.
