RECAP OF 04-05

We anticipated a peak season with a solid line up of returnees and a talented and athletic class of incoming freshmen.  The season began with a game against the team’s biggest rival, Western Washington University.  The game ended in a tie, pushing the Lutes right into the beginning of an intense season.  Over the course of the season the team played and beat Lewis and Clark, Willamette, Gonzaga, and Boise State. The Lutes suffered losses to University of Washington, Western Washington, and University of Oregon.  The highlight game of the season for the team was beating Boise State, another league rival.  The Pacific Lutheran University women’s lacrosse team finished with an overall winning record.  At the League Championships in Boise the Lutes finished 4th overall, after a tough loss to Western Washington in the last round.  Cellen Coakley, Sarah Ann Keihl, Jami Savage, Emily Bruce, Kristina Calvert and Nicole St. Amand were named League All Stars and were invited to play in the All Star game at the end of the Championship tournament.
