Marie WutzkeMarie, Insitutional Research Analyst,
has worked at PLU since 1987 and holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree
in English and a Master of Arts degree in Social Sciences from Pacific
Lutheran University. She provides information about the institution in
response to data requests from all sectors of the university and a
variety of outside sources, including federal and state agencies,
national higher education associations, national magazines that provide
rankings of universities, and Lutheran governing bodies. She coordinates the collection of data and
reporting for IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System) a
subsidary agency for the National Center for Education Statistics and
the National Student Loan Clearinghouse. Marie works with deans,
department chairs, faculty committees and program directors assisting
their management and planning efforts by providing data and information
on classes, majors, minors and gradates, computing student rankings,
and by coordinating the surveying and analyses of data. As a member of
the Enrollment Management Team, she provides data and forecasting
spreadsheets and analyses. She serves on the Data Administration Task
Force and does training in Banner navigation among other things.
When she is not in analyst mode, Marie is also
a member of PLU's Choral Union, enjoys quilting along with many other
needle arts, gardening, sailing, reading, and spoiling her two
