Faculty Affairs Committee Meeting Minutes

November 17, 2005

Present: D. Harney, R. McKenney, A. Leon-Guerrero, A. Batten

Regrets: J. Hasty, R. Kaufman

Business:

1. The minutes of November 3rd were unanimously approved.

2. No committee reports.

3. Compensation

a. The committee discussed the draft survey that seeks to gather data for informing the discussion of a comprehensive compensation plan. Anna will revise it accordingly and send around a new version for comment

b. The committee discussed the various documents regarding faculty compensation that were produced in past years.

c. The committee discussed plans for making recommendations to the administration regarding faculty salaries. Consideration will be given to cost of living increases as well as compression. Diane will draft a document which the committee will discuss at future meetings.

Meeting adjourned at 6 pm.
