Faculty Affairs Committee Meeting Minutes

December 1, 2005

Business:

1. Wild Hope Report – Visit by Paul Menzel, who discussed with FAC some of the proposed elements of a proposal to Lilly to further the Wild Hope Project.

2. Minutes of November 17 were approved unanimously.

3. Rose shared some of the results of the most recent Budget committee meeting, including the proposed modeling for next year.

4. FAC discussed the compensation memo (drafted by Diane). Diane will revise and send it out to the appropriate parties.

5. Anna distributed a new draft of the Faculty Survey on Compensation. We will focus our next meeting on a discussion of this survey.

6. Spring Schedule: We plan to meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 1:45 pm. The first meeting of the spring will be on February 7th.

7. Next meeting: Dec 15th, 2pm (place TBA).
