FACULTY AFFAIRS COMMITTEE MINUTES

March 7, 2005

Faculty committee members (Tamara, Tony, Greg & Kate) convened at 5:00 PM in the President’s Conference Room.

1. Kate will email Marilyn for last week’s minutes along with February ₇th minutes to bring next time for approval.

2. Greg’s draft regarding Independent Study (IS) questions for deans was discussed. Various courses--499 (capstone), 495 (internships) as well as 491 and 291 courses were described according to different departments’ “use” as impacting faculty load were clarified. After discussion, the draft was to be revised by Greg, with Tamara’s participation later in the week.

The committee adjourned shortly after 6:00 PM.
