Faculty Affairs Committee Minutes

May 2, 2005

Faculty committee members (Diane, Tamara, Greg, Marilyn, Kate, Tony) convened at 5:00 PM in the President’s Conference Room.

1. April 18^th minutes were approved as revised, will be sent to Diane for posting.

2. FAC committee read, discussed and suggested revisions to Diane’s Recommendation Concerning Independent Studies memo. Diane will send revisions to co-chairs by Friday. Tamara will meet with Dean of Nursing; Greg and Kate will meet with Chair of Music Dept.

3. FAC met with Provost Pence re the discussion of models and policies regarding independent studies, overloads, compensation and new programs.

4. FAC committee discussed Diane’s revised Proposal for 2005 Fall Conference, which not features additional options to accommodate interdisciplinary program planning during fall faculty conference days. Diane will meet with Laura Polycn re fall conference this coming week.
