At the meeting during the fall faculty conference, we elected Greg Johnson and Tamara Williams co-chairs. Secretary for fall term will be Diane Harney. Kate Grieshaber will assume that role in January. We also appointed the following representatives to other university committees:
 Benefits Committee - Diane Harney
Budget Advisory Committee – Dane Wu
Instructional Resources Committee - Marilyn Newcomer-Culp.
 
In addition to electing and appointing officers and representatives, we selected a meeting time of Monday from 5:15-6:30. However, because of a conflict, our first meeting, on September 13 will begin at 5:45. 
 
We agreed to review this meeting time during the first week of November, as one faculty member’s schedule will change at that time. 
 
Committee members briefly discussed issues that we were unable to address last year including faculty load, attrition and retention of faculty, faculty development, and creating a useful salary data base from which to make recommendations. 
 
We closed asking the co-chairs to identify our agenda for the year at the next meeting and to address the question of whether Provost Pence should attend all meetings as he did last year.
