Effective Letter Writing in Support of Tenure and Promotion
Tuesday, April 22nd

Discussants: Members of the Rank and Tenure Committee
This workshop will provide faculty members with techniques for writing
effective letters in support of colleagues' candidacy for tenure and
promotion. Rank and Tenure members will describe the type of
content they find most useful in their deliberations, as well as issues
related to length, style and format.
Grades, IP's, I's, Waitlists, Deadlines and More!
Wednesday, April 30th 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Faculty House Dining Room

Have you been asked to change a student's grade? What do you do
about the students on your waitlist versus those who show up on the
first day of class asking to get in? This workshop will review
PLU policies on grade chagnes, grade types ("I" vs. "IP" grades and why
students rather have an "IP"), deadlines, registration waitlist issues
and more. Bring your questions and/or student stories about "how
things are always done at PLU".
