An Academic Program Contract (APC) is an agreement between the student and the academic department that outlines the courses and requirements the student must successfully complete to earn the major/minor. When does a student fill out an APC? An APC is filled out when a student declares a major/minor. The APC is again completed when a student applies for graduation. How to complete the APC Process... ...To Declare a Major/Minor: Print an APC and complete the top portion. Make an appointment with the Department Chair of the major/minor you wish to declare. The Chair will assign an advisor if you are declaring your 1st major. Once complete, the department will process the APC or you will be asked to take a copy to the Student Services Office. ...To Get Graduation Clearance: Print an APC and complete the form. Make an appointment with the Department Chair and bring your completed APC and an unofficial transcript to the appointment. Once the APC is reviewed and signed by the Chair, bring it to the Student Services Office. (Note: you will need to do this for each major/minor you wish to receive.)
