Residential Life

Summer Housing

Living on campus during Summer

can be alot of fun!  PLU offers a variety of housing during the summer months.   Residential Life staff are there to assist students with any needs that arise.   Students taking classes have preference for housing, however, students who are working on campus are also eligible.  Applications are available now in the Residential Life office (University Center Suite 161) and are due April 25, 2008.  Students studying away should e-mail their summer housing preferences to Residential Life (rlif@plu.edu).

Hong and Kreidler

hong-outsideIf you are looking for a double or single option in a traditional residence hall, you would be assigned to either Hong or Kreidler Halls.  Hong Hall will house all doubles and may have a few single/doubles as well, depending on space availability.  Kreidler Hall is all single/double rooms, with a some application requirements.  You must be 20 and/or junior standing to reside in Kreidler.

South Hall

South Hall summer housing is a great option for folks who are currently in South Hall or have been assigned to 2008-09.  A variety of apartmsouth-hall-outsideent types  will be available.  While Residential Life shares this building with Conferences and Events for summer programs, we will work around student current or Fall assignments if they have their application turned in by April 25th, 2008.  Some temporary housing may be needed for students moving to South Hall for Summer and /or who haven't been assigned to South Hall for 2008-09.   Residents must be 20 and/or junior standing.

TEMPORARY / ADDITIONAL HOUSING

Temporary Housing, in Hong or Kreidler, will be assigned for the following situations:

  • If you are not currently in South Hall but plan to move there for summer, regardless of your housing plans for 2008-2009, you may be placed in temporary housing.
  • If you live in South Hall for summer, but are not assigned to South Hall for 2008-2009, you will be assigned temporary housing beginning August 20th.
