Student
Involvement and Leadership, in collaboration with university
colleagues, advocates for student directed experiences; supports
personal development, challenges the exploration of beliefs, encourages
values clarification, facilitates skill development, enhances
leadership in our community and celebrates the contributions of each
person as a partner in realizing PLU's mission.
SIL provides support, coordination, and resources for student interests, including:
Student Government: provides advising and support for ASPLU and its programming activities.
Clubs and Organizations: maintains current materials on active student
organizations and helps students interested in forming new clubs.
Student Media: serves as staff resource for student print and
electronic media organizations. For more information about the Mooring

Leadership Development: provides programs, staff and resources to
support student leadership development. Student leaders are encouraged
to explore opportunities for personal development and participation in
our community through workshops, one-to-one conversations and
utilization of SIL and Diversity Center resources.
Off Campus Students: works with ASPLU to provide resources and staff support for all off-campus students.
Orientation: coordinates Orientation programs for new students
Student Conduct: coordinates and implements student code of conduct.
