More than 50 students attended SPJ's "Politics and the Press" event where local journalists from The News Tribune, KPLU, KOMO 4, and CNN Seattle spoke to students about ethical issues regarding politics.

About Society of Professional Journalists

The Society of Professional Journalists works to improve and protect journalism. Founded in 1909 as Sigma Delta Chi, SPJ is dedicated to encouraging the free practice of journalism and to stimulating high standards of ethical behavior.

SPJ promotes the free flow of information vital to a well-informed public, protects First Amendment guarantees of free speech and a free press, and works to inspire and educate the next generation of journalists.
