MLK Ballet

mlk

MLK Ballet is a tuition free ballet school in Tacoma aimed at making the arts available to everyone. Part of the mission of MLK is to involve community members in the school by encouraging people to volunteer on their own terms. The school opened for classes in January, 2007 and will move into its own studio by next fall.

There are a few needs that volunteers are needed for:
  1. musicians to play for the dancers
  2. practice barres, either built or bought
  3. help with fundraising through selling tickets to the MOVE! Productions

There are many more possibilities, volunteer in whatever capacity you feel is best, for as long as you want, and as regularly!
