Associated Ministries

Host of several programs to better the Tacoma community:
  • Safe Streets: A program designed to reclaim communities from drugs and violence, as well as provide alternatives to gangs for the youth.

Child Abuse Prevention Resources

Volunteer in their core programs:
  • Parenting Plus: A parenting education experience for the entire family.
  • Home Visitor Program: Work with a paraprofessional to assist parents in their own homes to develop skills that will allow them to face the day-to-day challenges of parenting.
  • Esteem Teams: Promote healing and growth for children that have been sexually abused.
  • Prevention Education: Provide community education and training on issues related to child abuse, prevention, intervention, and treatment.

The Crime Victims Service Center

cvsclogo The Crime Victims Service Center is a one of a kind and recently established non-profit organization in Tacoma. The are currently seeking volunteers interested in advocacy work within the social services field.

Domestic Peace

Work with victims of domestic violence at housing services, in weekly support groups, case-management, food, clothing, transportation, advocacy, and job training.

Several ways to volunteer while working to bridge the gap from the cycles of homelessness, abuse, violence, neglect, dependency, and poverty, to self-sufficiency and self-determination.

Group Health Cooperative

Volunteer programs: hospice, mother mentor, holiday programs, infection control, adult/child abuse, emergency procedures, mental health, medication delivery, patient’s rights and responsibilities, home safety, insurance/driving safety, and tax information.

Help educate and inform others to prevent sexual assault. Advocate for those in need.
