Internships

Section Study - Internship
Take it to the next level

An international internship is the perfect opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned on campus in an international work setting. PLU offers internship opportunities in London, Namibia, Trinidad & Tobago, Mexico, Norway and much more! Internships are available in multiple disciplines, including economics, political science, women's studies, broadcasting, publishing, global studies, marketing, public relations, environmental science, social work, and religion.

Each internship opportunity in each location has a slightly different format. On average, students can earn from 2 to 12 credits of International Work Experience (INTN 477). Additionally, students can arrange for independent study credit in their major and/or course equivalencies where appropriate.

Pre-requisites
All students participating in any international internship program are required to be students in good academic, personal, and financial standing at PLU. Students must have completed a minimum of one full year (32 credits) in residence prior to the program start.

A 3.0 is the minimum GPA recommended for participation in any international internship program.

Students must also have relevant work experience or academic background for the internship for which they are applying as well as language competency when appropriate. Preference is given to students who already have cross-cultural experience.
