Part of the PLU Experience
Meant To Live is an annual program organized by students, and for students, as a part of the Wild Hope Project. By bringing in a wide variety of professionals, musicians, performers, artists and intellectuals to share their stories, we hope to reach students on a personal level. Speakers share what events, people, and passions have brought them to their current life situations and how it affects both themselves and the world by embracing who they truly are.
Musicians, performers, activists, professionals, and intellectuals of a variety of sorts come to campus for two days of exciting, exploratory, and at times intense conversation with students about the events, passions, and interests that have brought them to where they are, and what this means both for them and for the world.
We are all born with two special characteristics in life—with a unique combination of passions and interests, and with an ability to affect the world. The event encourages students to live a life of passion, courageous action and exploration of their greatest sense of vocation. |
