What is the Women's Center?
The community of Women's and Gender
Studies students and faculty enjoy the Women's Center as a location for
classes and studying, special programs, receptions, club activies, library resources, and advocacy services, including a support group for survivors of sexual assault. The Women's
Center is open to all students, faculty, and staff as a place to relax
or to join in activities.
Ways to Get Involved
Through the Women's Center, students can
put into practice the skills and knowledge they gain through their
coursework. They can do so through program planning, contributing
to great programs such as Women's History Month, Eating Disorders
Awareness Week, Love Your Body Day & other special events that
celebrate
women throughout the year. Students can also volunteer and
participate in year-round campus organizations such as SAPET (Sexual
Assault Peer Education Team) and Men Against Violence.
