Online: PLU student and employee email addressees are available online via a people search. If the person you are looking for is not listed, they may have chosen to be removed from this list or the account may not yet be activated.

Phone: On-campus students and employees can be reached by calling the campus concierge at 253-531-6900 to be transferred to the correct extension.

Calendars

Where can I find a master calendar of events?
A.

There is no central place on campus that coordinates all event information. You will find the event you are looking for on one of the following calendars.

  • PLUcalendar – A searchable database calendar of events, room reservations and related scheduling information.
  • Academic Calendar - Two-year calendar featured in the Undergraduate and Graduate Catalog.
  • Sports Schedules - Schedules and results are indexed by sport.
  • Scene Calendar - At the end of each issue of the Scene is an Arts and Events calendar.
How can I arrange a visit to campus?

Airport and Shuttle Information

SeaTac International Airport is approximately 45 minutes north of PLU. The Office of Admissions works closely with shuttle services. If you plan to visit, we will send for a shuttle to pick you up and drop you off again at the airport at no cost to you. Please make arrangements with the Office of Admissions at least one week in advance. (Students enrolled at PLU who fly home for vacation need to make their own arrangements.)

Where is the PLU campus located?
A.

Pacific Lutheran University is located 7 miles south of downtown Tacoma, Washington.

  • Take exit 127 off Interstate 5 and head east on Highway 512.
  • Continue on 512 for approximately two miles to Pacific Avenue S. (Parkland-Spanaway exit).
  • Turn right (south) on Pacific Avenue S. to 121st Street S.
  • Turn right on 121st.

Administrative offices, including the Office of Admissions, are located in the Hauge Administration Building near the intersection of 121st and Yakima Street S.

Applying to PLU

How do i apply for admission online?
A. Go to http://choose.plu.edu and select the tab that best represents you (First-year, Transfer, International, Graduate). Then scroll down to the "Apply" link.
How do I request materials (a viewbook, a course catalog, academic overviews, etc)?
A. To request materials please visit the Admission section.

Using Banner Web

How can I view my transcript online?
A.

Current students only. Unofficial transcripts can be viewed and printed using Banner Web. Banner Web can be accessed from the Online Services link on PLU's home page. Login to Banner Web using your User Identification Number (student ID) and your Personal Identification Number (birth date for first-time users). You may be asked to re-enter your PIN for verification. From the main menu follow this path:

Student & Financial Aid > Student Records > Academic Transcript.

Alumni. Unofficial transcripts are available to Alumni at no charge at the Student Services desk. For more information, click here.

Who do I contact for help and support with computers?
A. Computing and Telecommunications (www.plu.edu/~cats) provides help and support for computers. They can be reached by email (cats@plu.edu) or phone (253-535-7525). The Computing and Telecommunications Services web site (http://www.plu.edu/~cats/support) has information, frequently asked questions, and tutorials on various topics.
