This hall may be the smallest on the PLU campus, but it still has plenty of perks. The residents enjoy being part of a close-knit community. They're also just a stone's throw away from some indispensable resources, such as a parking lot and the Hauge Administration building (home to an espresso cart and the Student Services Center, among other things).

Named for Ole J. Stuen, faculty member and administrator from 1913 to 1952.

Ole J. Stuen

Ole J. Stuen was born in Opdal, Norway on June 12, 1881. He moved to America in 1901. He entered PLU as a student in the Academy in 1902. He obtained his bachelors of arts and master of arts degree from the University of Washington. He returned to PLU in 1913 as a teacher of German and mathematics and athletic coach. He married Agnes Hougen on August 1, 1914. Agnes spent many years working at the school as assistant to the business manager. For the exception of 3 years (1918-21), Stuen was on the staff as professor, librarian and alumni secretary, until his death, June 20, 1953.
