Name: Kreidler Hall

This could be called the best "single" hall on campus - all the rooms are made for one! Reserved for the 21-and-over crowd, this hall is host to many graduate and international students. And beware at Christmas time: residents are frequent winners of the Residence Hall Association's "Light Wars" decorating award!

Named for Lora Bradford Kreidler, who served as Dean of Women and teacher of arts from 1921 to 1943.


Lora Bradford Kreidler

Kreidler Hall, originally named West Hall was built in 1957. The building was named Kreidler Hall in the spring of 1966 to honor Lora Bradford Kreidler who served as Dean of Women and teacher of arts from 1921 to 1943. Mrs. Kreidler was born September 20, 1869 in Monticello, Minnesota. She attended Carleton College, University of Minnesota and Minneapolis School of Art. She taught in public schools in Southth Dakota from 1892 to 1894 before coming to Pacific Lutheran College. She was related to the New England Bradfords and was a member of the Mayflower descendants' association.
