Admitted Students

You're In!

If you have been admitted to PLU – congratulations! We think that you’ll find that PLU is a unique place that will challenge you as a student, support you as a person, and prepare you for a lifetime of success.

Before you can fully participate in all that PLU has to offer, there are several steps every admitted student needs to take. The checklist below is a great place to start. But remember, you can always call your admission counselor at 800-274-6758 if you have questions.

Visit Campus

If you have not yet visited campus, we recommend you do so – it is one of the most important things you will do during your college search.  It is a great way to help figure out if PLU will be the right fit for you. During your visit, you can meet with an admission counselor, take a tour with a student – even meet a coach or a professor. To schedule your visit go to choose.plu.edu/visit.

Review your Financial Aid package

2013-14 PLU Financial Aid offers will begin mailing in March.  We encourage you to submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available January 1, 2013, to ensure optimal financial aid awarding.  The FAFSA is free, and it is the best way to see how much it will cost to attend PLU. (Note: When filling out the FAFSA form, remember that PLU’s FAFSA school code is 003785).

2013-2014 Direct Costs
Tuition: $34,440
Room & Meals: $10,100

Total: $44,540

Once you have received your Offer of Financial Aid, be sure to review it with your PLU Admission Counselor, who is happy to either schedule an over-the-phone or face-to-face meeting with you and your family to answer questions regarding scholarships, grants, loans, work study, and payment options.  Our Do the Math worksheet is a helpful way to compare PLU's financial aid offer with offers from other schools you are considering.

Join the PLU Class of 2017 Facebook Group

Join the PLU Class of 2017 Facebook Group and connect with hundreds of other students who are considering PLU.  This is also a great place to post any of your questions and get real answers from current PLU students.

Be a Lute! Pay your Advance Tuition Payment.

Once you have been admitted to PLU, you may pay your $200 Advance Tuition Payment to join the entering class of Fall 2013, secure your housing assignment, and prepare for class registration.

To secure your spot at PLU, please send your Advance Tuition Payment along with your New Student Information Form and the housing form that you received with your admission packet to the Office of Admission. You may also pay the Advance Tuition Payment and complete the housing form online at www.plu.edu/BeALute.  If your Advance Tuition Payment has already been paid, but you still need to request your housing, you can complete the online housing form at www.plu.edu/applyreslife.

Register for Classes

After paying your Advance Tuition Payment and requesting your PLU ePass, you are prepared to schedule your class registration appointment.  Registration for Fall 2013 will take place June 12, 13, 14, 17 and 18, and you can schedule your registration appointment online on the Academic Advising website.  Be sure to carefully read through your First-Year Guidebook (mailed earlier this spring) for further information regarding preparation for and scheduling your class registration appointment.

Orientation

Now that you're officially a Lute, it's time to look forward to Fall Orientation, and the start of your college experience!
